Welcome!

Massage Is Therapy For Me and my clients!

Massage Is Therapy For Me's goal is to provide therapeutic massage sessions to all clients that book with us.  No body is the same, so no massage session should be the same!  Our therapists provide customized sessions tailored to client's needs.  If we did our job right, we receive therapy when we watch you walk out of our therapy session feeling better than the way you walked in.

Mission Statement:

To provide the highest quality of therapeutic massages to those looking to relieve their mind and body of stress, pain, injury, anxiety, depression, increase ROM, improve homeostasis and sleep.

My Story

Frank Gioeli, LMT

A New Jersey Licensed Massage Therapist and Alumnus of Therapeutic Massage and Training Center in Westfield, NJ. He serves as an Assistant Director & Massage Instructor at TMTC, and was a LMT at Rutgers University - New Brunswick from 2019-2024, and a former Varsity High School Soccer Coach in Staten Island.  Coming from a sports background, he focuses on athlete performance and recovery, pain and stress relief, and therapeutic client focused sessions.

Frank is a happily married man to an angel on earth.  He and Molly currently reside in Staten Island, NY.  Both love to be with family and friends and have a wonderful obsession with music, sports (soccer especially), and have strong intentions of healing loved ones around them with her knowledge and expertise in the health care field, his understanding of the body and it's movements, and their collective desire to have anyone they meet laugh and love every second of their time together.

Practice Philosophy

The idea behind my practice is to provide therapeutic relief for all clients that come to me.  I genuinely love a challenge and expect to continue to learn and grow as my client base does.  All I do comes with a therapy mindset.  If you are in any sort of imbalance of the body, mind, soul, I want to be able to have the knowledge and tools to handle it.

With this in mind, I have extensive knowledge and skills to handle deep tissue massages, provide relief and customary massages to issues or clients presenting with:

Upper back pain (including funky necks aka text neck, whiplash, shoulder and rotator cuff injuries)

Lower Back Pain (including Sciatica and Piriformis syndrome)

Knee pain

Shin splints

Plantar Fasciitis

Hip Alignment issues (including TFL, PSOAS, and more)

TMJ/TMJD

Scar Tissue Management

ACL injuries

Prenatal and Postnatal Body Pains

and more...

I am certified to do bamboo massage, cupping, taping / kinesiotaping, prenatal and post natal and much more.

My History & Why I do what I do

I graduated from St. John's University with a BS in Business Management, always knowing I wanted to own a business, but didn't know what business.  I entered the Corporate America world only to realize that I really could not stand the politics and behavior of some of my managers when I told them frankly, I am not a pushy salesman.  I would leave my meetings with clients thinking "Damn, I really don't know if this program is right for them but at least my boss is happy".  I knew I had to get out, but didn't know how.  And then, as if one thing after another, things happened back to back to back...

I joined the amazing and exciting world of massage therapy for a few reasons.  As many people think to themselves, I always thought I was good at giving back massages to those around me.  I figured hey, why not look into this, but never really did.   One day when playing in a soccer game, I pulled my hamstring.  I came home to ask my sister, a Doctor of Physical Therapy, to help me out.  I came up my stairs to see she was working on my mother because her back hurt! As she worked on my mom, I gave my sister a bit of a back massage and she goes " Wow you are really good at this".  To which I replied, "Yeah if only I could do that for a living and work with athletes"... to which she responded "You can!"

That next day, on my drive to work, I listened to a podcast that had a professional baseball player talking about how his team's LMT had helped extend his career along with other modalities and recovery plans involved.  I took that as a sign and did some research on the industry, financial trends, and if it is something I could really do.

I applied to two schools and visited both and the rest is history.  Because of the amazing techniques and skills taught to me at TMTC, I can bring what I know to anyone who comes to me!  I love what I do, genuinely.  It makes me so happy to see people leave my therapy sessions not in pain.  And then when they refer people to me to feel that relief as well? Ugh guilty pleasure!

I look forward to meeting you and hope you call!
